My story
I'm R.O., a Nigerian product designer currently based in Berlin, Germany.
My design journey began in Nigeria, where I honed my skills as a freelance graphic designer. Curiosity about design's role in technology led me to California, where I discovered product design at 42 Fremont.
After building UX expertise and contributing to a biometric SaaS mobile app the following year, I returned to Ghana.
Returning to Ghana, I embraced the opportunity to be a startup's first product designer. Leveraging my experience, I championed design thinking, fostered cross-functional collaboration, and successfully advocated for a dedicated design team. Over 2 years, I mentored a team of designers and collaborated across departments, gaining valuable experience in multi-product development, FinTech development and ISO 27001 standards.
Now in Berlin, I'm immersed in German culture, learning the language and soaking up the sun (when possible 😅). This international perspective informs my approach to design, allowing me to bring a unique blend of experience and cultural understanding to every project.
The past decade has been an incredible design journey for me. I've not only explored and mastered disciplines like visual & brand design and user experience, but I'm also constantly pushing myself to learn more – from prompt engineering to 3D design.

Photography, my daily hobby, trains my eye for composition and light, which in turn fuels my design thinking.
Creating art allows me to experiment with new mediums and approaches, further pushing my design boundaries.
Researching consumer technology keeps me updated on the state of mobile computing, A.I, IoT and smart home tech, fuelling my curiosity in software and experience design.
When I travel, I'm constantly inspired by new experiences and cultures, which I sometimes incorporate into my art and design work.
And of course, exploring new worlds through games provides a refreshing escape.
